Mike Feinson

Mike Feinson is principal consultant of Engaged Strategies. He has coached and trained thousands of individuals and consulted to organizations in areas that include leadership and team development, recruitment and selection, and the design and implementation of change initiatives. He specializes in using Appreciative Inquiry, an innovative and powerful approach to change that helps organizations to improve performance quickly and dramatically. This approach generates commitment and creative solutions to problems by identifying and amplifying successes and best practices. Mike's clients have included Nextel Communications, The Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation, Sierra Club, Hunton & Williams, and Citizen Schools. He earned his MBA in Organization Development from Boston University and his BA in Business and Human Resources from American University.

Bernadette Costello


Bernadette is an organizational development consultant specializing in group process and retreat facilitation. Over the last 15 years, she has conducted hundreds of custom designed retreats and group interventions that focused on improving group interaction and communication, increasing organizational focus and clarifying direction and outcomes for enhanced organizational effectiveness. In addition, Bernadette has created comprehensive supervisory, management and leadership development programs in public and private organizations.

Bernadette has consulted with and in public, private, nonprofit and quasi-governmental organizations such as, Fairfax County Government, Prince William County Government, the City of Manassas, the District of Columbia Government, Potomac Electric Power Company, Play and Learn Child Care Centers and the International City Management Association. She received a Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Illinois University, a Master in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a doctoral candidate at George Mason University.

Ivor Heyman

Ivor is a facilitator and trainer who specializes in the areas of
conflict management and transition. He has led trainings and workshops through the Northern Virginia Mediation Service, the Social Action Leadership School for Activists, Washington Council on Agencies, Montgomery County Volunteer Center, and the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations.

In addition to leading conflict management workshops he works as a facilitator with a number of organizations in the areas of transition management, strategic planning, and dispute systems design. His clients include an array of nonprofit organizations in the Washington DC area. Ivor Heyman brings over six years of legal experience to his work. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and a Master of Laws Degree from Duke University School of Law.
